A voz da criança no teatro infantil: a dramaturgia na berlinda

Abstract

The children's theater, from the perspective of cultural pedagogies, is a cultural artifact loaded with meanings and representations, imbricated by power relations between those who perform and those who enjoy it. Considering, on one hand, the paradigm of the child as a social actor, producer of culture and holder of the right to opinion and expression; on the other hand, the possibility of children's theater as a space for the expression of diverse children and the representation of the plurality of childhoods, this research sought to understand the processes of creation of 14 playwrights from Pernambuco, to identify the participation of "children's voices" in the theater intended for them. To analyze the relationship of the playwrights with children and the repercussions in their creation processes, firstly, it was gathered from conversations with the participants, their understandings about children and childhood, as well as about their role as playwrights of children's theater, that is, their perceptions about the parts of this relationship. Then, the spaces for children's participation in their creation procedures were identified, including the choice of themes and the construction of the children's characters. Using a popular game as a metaphor for the analysis of the contents, the themes dealt with in the interviews, divided into categories, were put in the "hot seat", and with the collection of ideas and practices of the playwrights a "dialogue" was established with concepts from the field of Childhood Studies and Cultural Studies. At the end, dialogical possibilities are presented among the creation processes researched, to configure a theatrical dramaturgy by adults with the participation of children.
